“[23] Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, [24] since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. [25] Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.” (Colossians 3:23-25)
At times I find it so much easier to do things for my own glory and benefit. But the the Bible says we should do it for God instead. Well, God gave us life, breath and everything we need to live. Without all those, we would not have lived at all. Sometimes when I put myself as the focus instead of God, I tend to get lazy and don't put in as much effort.
I think one of such examples will be doing quiet time, evangelism. Failing to recognize that God is my master caused me to slack in these commitments. The Bible says that the lord will reward us by giving us an inheritance if we work for Him and He will repay us for our wrong, showing no favoritism.
With that, I hope we can think of how we can give our best to God and give Him the glory instead of being self seeking.
Amen...
